Jake's Previous Family

When Jake was about 1 year old, his parents (Mr. and Mrs. Berry) decided to bring him along on a fantastic scenic helicopter fide over Alaska. However, during the ride, there was rather wild turbulance and Jake Berry (Who was then called Jerry Perry) fell out of the helicopter. He fell inot a very deep lake and nearly drowned. He would've drowned if was not for the family of bears that happened to be swimming in that very pond that day. The two bears rescued the boy and raised him as their own. Jerry's name was changed to Jake and he grew up learning hte ways of the Grizzly bears. That's why his nails are always so long and he growls so often. Jake's parents decdied to let his name stay Jake just so he would not get to upset. He was rather fond of the bears. Oh, one more thing, his dad had to shoot the papa bear to get him back.
