Bluey Chewy
"I see, well now that your back, me and Chibong are going to the beach. You comin'?"
"Sure, I’ll be back. I have to get my surf board."
"Already packed. Toss me the bag will ya?"
"OK, just let take one last look and the crystals," I said unzipping the bag. The crystals were so beautiful; it was hard to imagine that they held evil in them.
"Oh no you don’t. Those crystals are dangerous. Before you know it, you’ll be taking those crystals out and getting pulled under their evil curse. Pass me the bag!"
"Oh all right" I said as I tossed the bag to Brainy.
"Good, now you go with Chibong, come on." I followed Chibong and Brainy out into the Pasture. Cows mooed in the distance. Sheep grazed every where. The smell was unbearable though. I hated it. IT smelled like some rotten eggs washed in cow poop.
"Here we are" said Chibong as he took out a weird looking remote.
"What do you mean. I don’t see anything." I said looking around. I really didn’t see anything. The spot looked like every other part of the pasture.
"IT takes time. Wait a little." Said Chibong without the hint of annoyment. What did he mean, it takes a while? Were the cars going to appear suddenly? Now that I think about it, I guess they could. He did come form a different land. Who knows what kind of technology they could have there? "Three Two One" I heard Chibong muttered under his breath. I heard a strange rumbling sound. All the animals started to move away. Suddenly the large patch of grass by us swayed and then wilted down enough that you could see that there was a little door in the ground. Chibong opened it and said,
"In you go, follow me and stay close."
The whole lead into a tunnel that went deeper and deeper. I got a little scared for a minute because it was so dark. Anything could be lurking around here. The tunnel curved around this way and that way.
"Stop" Chibong, said. I think it was Chibong at least. It was so dark I couldn’t really see who said it. I’m pretty sure it was him because he was the one who put his huge arm in front of me so I couldn’t go on.
"Behold, the twin cars" either Brainy or Chibong said. As this was said, two spotlight shown upon two beautiful cars. I didn’t see the cars at first because the sudden light was too much for my eyes. I looked away for second or two. I guess it really wasn’t much light at all because when my eyes had adjusted it seemed pretty dull in there. Chibong said it was made to be dull because if it had been really bright like real Spotlights, we would all probably become blind.
"Jump in. The red ones Chibong’s and the Blue one is mine." Said Brainy. I went and sat down in the back seat of the red car. It was soooo comfortable. Chibong opened the front door and sat behind the wheel.
"Want some popcorn?" He asked when we started moving down the tunnel.
"No thanks" I said. I wasn’t really hungry right now. I still wanted to try out all the buttons on the side of the seat. For About half the ride, I tinkered around with all the buttons. When I was done I asked Chibong for some popcorn.
"Butter?"
"Of course!" I couldn’t imagine somebody not wanting butter.
"Salt?"
"Definitely," I said, as he pressed a button by his seat.
"I think I’ll have one too," He said pressing the button again. Just then, I heard Brainy’s voice,
"We are approaching opening E9. I repeat We are approaching opening E9."
"Bingo" I heard Chibong mutter. The road suddenly started to steepen and the car was practically vertical. I looked out the window and saw Brainy’ car pass in front of us.
"Seatbelts on Jodie. We’re going to surface the tunnel." Said Chibong as the car jerked onto an old path. Five minutes passed and we entered the main highway.
It wasn’t long before we reached Meatball beach. The ocean seemed so big from this angle. Brainy and Chibong unpacked and I surfed as they went over to, skate for free to try out some new skate tricks they learned. 2 hours went passed and I didn’t even realize it.
" JODIE! TIME TO GO!" cried Chibong. "Sorry can I borrow that megaphone?" asked Chibong as he grabbed it out of the lifeguard’s hand.
"GET OVER HERE JODIE!" he screamed. "Thanks a lot" he said to the lifeguard as he handed back the megaphone.
"Why weren’t you coming when I called you?"
"Sorry, I guess I couldn’t here with all the waves."
"OK I’ll let it go this time, but never again. Come on Brainy and me our going sailing on our new ship. Coming or not?"
"Sure I’m coming, you don’t have to yell"
"Come on then. The ship is already waiting. I built an exact image of the one that sunk."
Chibong took me sown the road to the Albuquerque dock.
"There she is. Isn’t she a beauty? Brainy is already on board. I suggest you go on and loo for him. I’ll need his help with the anchor"
"OK, come on"
"Sorry, I have to untie the ropes. You go ahead."
" Well, OK, if your sure you don’t need my help" I said hesitantly as I climbed aboard The gliding Angel 2
"Brainy! Where are you?"
"Over here Jodie. In the dining room!" I ran over
"Hi brainy, What'cha do’in?"
"I’m making a plan"
"For what" I asked confused.
"For a battle, Jodie. Stop asking questions. Go pester Chibong"
"OK! I’ll go pester Chibong! Wait a minute, I’m not pestering."
"Just go Jodie, My overgrown Brain hurts."
"OK" I said as I skipped out of the room.
As I skipped down the deck I nearly bumped into Chibong.
"Did you find Brainy?"
" Uh, ya! But, uh, he’s busy." I said.
"That Brainy, always overworking his oversize brain. I guess I’ll have to hoist the anchor myself," said Chibong with a sigh.
"I’ll help!" I chimed.
"No Jodie, your to little to be doing big jobs like this, go down to the dining room with Brainy.
"But he said----"
"No buts, go down with him."
"Fine" I grumbled as Chibong pulled the huge heavy wheel round and round.
I decided to go on by the wheel instead to Brainy’s working area. I pretended I was a captain of an evil Pirate crew and was sailing to Skull Island to find the lost Treasure. Suddenly, The ship started to sway and move forward towards the ocean. I grabbed the wheel and steered the ship straight out into the ocean. I could see Chibong pulling all the ropes as the Sails rose higher and higher. "Cast Away!" I yelled at the top of my lungs.
It wasn’t long before I could see absolutely no land on any side. The ship swayed back and forth on the deep blue ocean waters.
I kept sailing away from land for the rest of the day. It wasn’t until nightfall that Chibong yelled at me.
"What were you thinking? Sailing off away form Albuquerque for so long. We’re probably half way through the ocean by now. How are we supposed to get back, huh? Answer that one. We’re stranded I tell ya! Stranded!"
"Brainy! I think we need your help"
"I don’t need Brainy! I’m taking charge, give me the compass!"
"Brainy’s using it."
"Blah!" Hollered Chibong as he walked down the stairs to the Dining room.
"Give me that compass Brainy! You’re always making plans and building robots. Can’t you relax ever? Throw away those stupid papers and make your self-useful. Take this mop and go swap the deck!"
"What's gotten into you Chibong. I was here and I’m not giving you the compass til you calm down."
"You are going to give me the compass Brainy. Got that? Huh? Give it!" Yelled Chibong as he sprung at Brainy.
"Guys! Stop fighting!" I screamed as I walked into the room.
"Not until he gives me the Compass"
‘Brainy! Give it to him!"
"No! He always gets what he wants! This time, I’m not letting him!"
"Chibong?"
"Never!" hollered Chibong as he ran up and pounced on brainy.
""No! The compass!" Screamed brainy as the compass slipped out of his grip and flew out the window.
"Why you little, I ought to, I----"
"Ought to be locked up for an hour and let you Heart machine cool down," Brainy and me said as we each grabbed Chibong and carried him to the cargo hold.
"You take the wheel, I’ll get this monster tied up so he won’t be able to move a muscle. Don’t forget, you have to turn the boat strait around to get us going toward land."
"One problem, the wheel isn’t locked"
"What?"
"When I followed Chibong down to the Dining room, I, uh, I forgot to lock the wheel."
"What! You mean we have no Idea which way land is? We could be still sailing out into the sea or we could be sailing home?"
"Yes," I said quietly.
"It’s OK. I probably would’ve done the same thing. We’ll just turn the ship around and hope for the best." Said Brainy as he tied the last rope around Chibong.
"Well, shall we take a look at that wheel now."
"Yes" I said.
We got the wheel locked in one direction and just sat down and waited, and waited, and waited, and waited, But all we could see was, sea, sea, sea, sea, sea, sea. Night fell and the air started becoming cold. We untied Chibong, He said sorry and said that he didn’t know what come over him.
"I think all the sea water pumped up my heart machine." He said with a chuckle. Suddenly we all heard a loud "BOOM" from below deck.
"What was that?" asked Brainy.
"Could be Pirates y’know. I’ll go down and check." But before he could get down the stairs we were all shook with a fast jerk. Chibong ran down the stairs and came back all dripping.
"We’re sinking, There’s a huge hole in the rudder. We’re have to abandon the ship."
"Maybe it wasn’t a good Idea to make this ship Identical to the last one. The last ship was nice this ship is nice. The last one was Comfortable this one is comfortable. The last one sunk. This is sinking!"
"Brainy, you go up to the cows nest and see if there is any nearby ships. Jodie, go get the inflatable rafts out. Me, I’ll go and try to stall for time. Get all the important information and survival kits onto he rafts when they are inflated. This ship’s going down and I don’t intend to go with it."
We all got to work. Chibong, well, he tried his best to slow down the amount of water coming in. He tried stuffing the hole with sandbags, and pumping the water out. None of them worked very well. I Got the Rafts inflated and started to pack up. It was amazing how much "Important information" there was on the ship. Papers and papers and papers! I had just finished the last trunk when I heard, "Evacuate ship! Evacuate Ship!" I rushed outside.
"What?!"
"We have to leave now, there’s to much water down stairs. We have to leave before the ship completely sinks or the force of the water will pull us down with it. Brainy, any ships we could board?"
"Yes Chibong, there is one. That is the only ship for at least 50 miles according tot he radar."
" I see, well get onto the rafts this ship’s going down."
We all got onto the rafts, one person per raft. We tied the rafts one after the other to each other so we wouldn’t get separated form each other and the papers wouldn’t get separated from us. We headed in the direction Brainy said towards this ship that he claims is nearby. IT wasn’t long before we all could see the ship clearly. However, since it was dark this wasn’t until we were a couple feet away.
"There’s lights up ahead, Brainy."
"That must be the ship."
"Quickly Jodie get the motor going."
"But---"
"Do it!"
"Fine," I said grouchy as I started to pull the starter. It started easier that I thought.
"That’s what I’m talking about. Now we’re moving." Said Chibong as he stood up in the raft.
In about Five minutes we were right behind the ship. That’s when we realized that the name of the ship was… The Flying Shadow.
"Now what?" asked Chibong as we floated behind the pirate ship.
"Now we take action," I said as I tied the last knot on the emergency kit rope.
"What on earth?" I heard Brainy say under his Breath. I Tied on the hook and lasso the rope into the air.
"Perfect Shot" Chibong said as the rope soared up and hooked onto the window of the Flying shadow.
"Chibong, You climb up the rope and toss down this rope ladder. I don’t think Brainy or me are strong enough to climb all the way to the top. Besides, even if we could, we wouldn’t be able to carry the papers up with us."
"Good plan, but there’s one problem. What if this thin rope snaps because of my weight?"
"Don’t worry," I said, "If you fall you’ll land in the ocean. You can just swim onto the raft and we’ll use another rope and I’ll try."
"Well OK. If you say it’s safe," Said Chibong as he pulled himself with the ladder up the rope. He swung back and forth, Back and forth.
"Hold steady Chibong! Don’t sway or you’ll snap the rope!"
"I’m trying! It’s not as easy as it looks," Hollered Chibong as his hand reached the Ship window. He pulled himself in and threw down the rope ladder.
"Good thing you reached the window before this rope gave way. I was almost sure it was gonna snap on you," I said after Me and Brainy had climbed up with all the papers
"I wasn’t sure I’d make it either," said Chibong.
"Hey guys look in here," Brainy interrupted.
" What is it.
"Fire making objects"
"Cool, I wonder why the Pirates have Th------"
" Guys, don’t you think we should get a plan, This is a Pirate Sh----" Chibong was cut off by the sound of Pirates.
"There’s a patrol ship off starboard! I repeat Parol ship off starboard!"
"I see, Every one. I want every lamp on the boat blown out. We don’t want to signal the Patrol ship any closer."
We all heard the sound of Pirates running on deck. We all hid in a barrel and held our breaths.
"That was a close one," said brainy after we came out of the barrels.
"Maybe but we’re still stranded. Come On. I’ve got an idea. Take out all the Stuff in the chest.’
We dumped out all the stuff in the chest out onto the table. It contained:
5 sets of firecrackers
5 non-lit lamps
10 ropes
20 candles
9 packs of matches
1 kite
3 spotlight sets.
7 ropes of Christmas lights
"Now we get to work. Chibong, you go and hang these lights on as many places you con. Brainy, you get these spotlights together and also get the generator that’s in the cargo hold. Me, I’ll get lighting."
We all went to work doing our jobs. I went and sorted out the rest of the supplies. First, replaced the tail of the kite with the rope. Then, I prepared all 5 sets of fireworks so that equaled out to about 35 rockets. It wasn’t long before I heard Chibong’s and Brainy’s voice yelling,
"We did what you told us to!"
"Good," I said, "Now on the count of three, Brainy you start the Generator to start the Lights both Christmas lights and Spotlights. 3! … 2! … 1!" I yelled as Brainy switched on the Power Generator. The Ship burst into light.
As Brainy adjusted the generator, I went to work. Slowly I lit one of the matches and set the tail of the kite on fire.
"Chibong!" I yelled, "Come over here. I’ve got a job for you!" Chibong ran over below deck.
"Chibong," I said, "Take this kite and fly it as high as you can. Hurry and get up before the kite totally bursts into flames. The rope will burn out and the wind will carry the kite higher. Got it?"
"Got it," said Chibong as he threw the kite into the air. It rose Higher and Higher until; suddenly the whole kite bursts into flame. The rope burned up and the kite flew away freely.
"Now!" I called out to Chibong and Brainy, "Take these lamps and go up on deck. Hold them high in the air and wave them back and forth. Okay?"
"Got it!" they said already waving them in the air. Quickly I lit all the candles and put them in the windowsills.
"There," I said to my self, "Now I relax." I went to the chest and looked inside. There was still one thing in it. Strapped to the side was a fairly large telescope. I took the strap off, and looked through it, out to the big, blue, graceful, peaceful, ocean. I could see a small, but bright dot shining in the middle of the sea. IT grew bigger and I realized that this was the patrol ship. The dot was its searchlight. A loud foghorn sounded.
Suddenly, I heard a door slam.
"What in blue blazes! What is this!"
"I don’t rightfully know sir. But I think those two madmen are part of your problem."
"I see, How bout’ you two take care of them and I go into the cabin and take care of anything in there. OK?"
"Yes sir, Right away sir.’ They said.
I hopped into one of the open barrels.
"Anybody in here! Come out you Fool!" He walked over to the first Barrel.
"Ha" He said as he kicked and destroyed the barrel. He walked to the next one. He destroyed it. He approached the last barrel. Whack! The barrel exploded into pieces.
"I knew someone was here. It is now time for me to take my revenge. Snuffy! Duffy!"
"Yes sir, Yes sir," they said as they clumsily ran in.
"Did you take care of the madmen? And did you turn off the generator?"
" We did it, sir! We also put out that flaming kite. Yep we did all of those things"
"Good, now I suggest you get these candles blown out and then make sure that patrol ship isn’t getting any closer. GO!"
Snuffy and Duffy walked over to the candles and started blowing them out like little children. The captain sighed but didn’t say anything.
"Hey! I was doing this one!" Said Duffy.
"So!"
"So I doing it!" Yelled Duffy swinging his arms.
"Fine, Fine. You can do the next two. You don’t have to get all fussy." Sid Snuffy sounding annoyed. I looked down to the floor. The fireworks. I hadn’t set off the fireworks yet. I looked around. A lit candle lay about an inch from the fuse. I reached with my foot and knocked the candle onto the fuse. The rope lit and inched toward the rocket.
"As I was saying!" Said the captain interrupting my thoughts, "You will have to pay for this." As he said this, he took out his sword. Just then, six pirates came in holding Brainy and Chibong.
"Uh, sire, Where do you want us to put the madmen."
"Where do you think your going to put them, in the shower? Now tie them up and put them in the storage area!" hollered the captain as he lifted his sword.
"ARRRG------"
His voice was cut off by the sound of firecrackers.
"AHHHHHH!" Screamed the assistant Pirates as they ran out of the room letting go of Chibong and Brainy. Chibong Immediate pounced out towards the wall. He grabbed the rope that was hanging. He knotted it and made a small lasso.
"High ho!" he yelled as he threw the rope into the air and swung it around the terrified Pirates.
"Going some where?" He said smiling at the tied up Pirates.
"I may have lost my workers, but I'll get you yet!" I heard Ves Poochi say. Chibong swung around. Behind him stood the captain.
" I journeyed far and high in search for Bluey Chewy and I will not let you take that girl away form me. She is hot on Bluey Chewy's trail and I will not let her get away."
Chibong took a hard look at the captain.
"Ves Poochi?"
"Chibong my old pal, you still remember me. Yes it’s me. Now buddy are you going to hand Jodie over, or are you going to take the Consequences?"
" Come on Ves Poochi. Where’s the kindness in you heart? Why do you even want Bluey Chewy?"
"Bluey Chewy is the key to my masters plan of Total Chaos."
"What are you talking about? Jodie doesn’t know where Bluey Chewy is."
"Oh, you may think she doesn’t but she does. He is very close right now. I can feel it," said Ves Poochi as he took out his sword.
‘Now, if you don’t mind, I got to get this over with. I’m due at the Treasure Palace."
"Chibong stepped backward.
"Ah, Chibongy. Don’t be scared this will only hurt a lot," Said Ves Poochi with a smile. Suddenly, Ves Poochi’s smile hopped right off his face. I looked around him. About A couple Yards behind the ship was the patrol boat, and it was gaining.
The boat pulled up and Cody jumped onto the deck.
"Stop right there!" He said. He was holding…a gun.
"Put you hands up, pooch. We’ve been looking for you for ages. You don’t happen to know where the famous, Josh Paku is?"
Ves Poochi put his hands up.
"Is there a reward?"
"Alas, yes, 989,000," he said with a sigh.
"He is sailing 50 knots an hour from square Bay. He’s headed North west away form Albuquerque."
"Where do you want your reward sent to, Because you… will be put in jail," said Cody as he slapped handcuffs onto Ves Poochi.
"If I’m not available send it to PO box 5207…IF."
"Get in Ves Poochi and shut up with you escaping nonsense. Chibong, could help me carry the other Pirates into the boat." Chibong didn’t even answer he just picked all Six Pirates and threw them aboard.
"Jodie, Keep the ship. With these sails you’ll be able to reach Albuquerque in no time. I’ll send the Ves Poochi reward the Barn Brainy and Chibong. Good bye, I must leave you, I’ve got to take Care of, The Josh Paku, King of terror."
They departed and Jodie got to work.
"Cast the sails!" I yelled as the ship glided on the blue waters. IT felt as if we were flying. I guess that’s why they call it, The flying shadow.
"We’re heading South by southwest Chibong," I heard Brainy say.
"Good, then we’re be socking in Albuquerque in about 1 hour if every thing goes right…IF.
"Ha he ha! The next Patrol ship is due right about now! Ha! Right on schedule! Get the cannons ready." The patrol ship approached the ship and pulled up next to it.
"I hereby arrest you in the name of the law Josh Paku. Now kindly step down onto my ship so I ca tie you up." Said Cody holding up a gun.
"You think you can arrest me with a silly gun? Fire!" The air was filled with the booms of the cannons.
"Sink, Sink, Sink! Ha! Guards go and retrieve their supplies and take their workers as prisoners! Ha!"
"Yes Sire"
"Good, now get to work. Let me see any more patrol boats due today. Nope, I’ll have to hunt down some ships instead. MUA HA, HA, HA! HA, HA! HA, HA, HA!" He took out his telescope and pointed it out to the sea.
"There’s an unidentified ship heading South be south west 70 knots an hour. Can you find it on you radar Bill?"
"I’ve located it already, It carry’s Four Passengers. Chibong, Brainy, Jodie, Ooh, and last but certainly not least… … Bluey Chewy."
"I see," said Josh, "Turn the ship around! We’re setting anew course, head South is Southwest at 100 knots an hour! Get the cannons loaded too, we’ll be needing them!" He smiled, showing a gold tooth on his top 3rd tooth.
"Ye ha!" hollered Chibong as we soared on the along the ocean top.
"Stop fooling around Chibong and start working go up to the crows nest and be on the watch."
"Ah Brainy, I was just having a bit of fun," said Chibong As he grabbed the telescope and started climbing up the ladder.
"Don’t be silly, just go and do your job. We should be there in about 30 minutes," Brainy answered back annoyed. The boat glided across the waters like a bird the white sails puffed up like little wite marshmallows.
"There’s a mysterious object Northwest of us, It doesn’t look very dangerous. It’s too far away for me to tell you exactly what it is."
"Well, it’s behind us so we don’t need to worry about it. Even so, keep an eye on it Chibong. Check on it every five minutes."
We traveled for another 20 minutes towards Albuquerque. Brainy says he might have accidentally made a wrong calculation and that we’d be at Albuquerque in about another 2 hours instead of ten minutes.
"Brainy! You better come look at this, That thing I saw is closer now and it’s a ship!"
"Who cares if it’s a ship, there are lot’s of ships on the ocean"
"But Brainy, we’re going 80 knots right? Well this thing used to be farther away but it is closer now right? So isn’t it a bit unusual for A ship to be going over 80 knots? This hip has to be going at least 95 knots!"
"You know, you’re right. Not many ships are even capable of going 95 knots. Besides, the radio said that the speed limit is 90 knots at the most 75 knots if you’re sailing for leisure. Can you tell? IS the ship a Cruise?"
"No, it’s definitely not a cruise, I think it might be a tanker."
"Let me take a look you crazy turkey!" Said Brainy frustrated as he started to climb the ladder.
"That’s not a tanker! It’s probably just a sailboat! Now get back to work and forget about that boat!" Yelled Brainy. Chibong turned his telescope but as I watched he still turned the other way and looked out to the "Sailboat" every 5 minutes. I decided to take a look myself,
"Chibong! Can I take a look?"
"Just go to the balcony and take a look," said Chibong. I went to the back of the boat and looked out to sea. There was a boat there all right, but it definitely wasn’t a sailboat. You could see the large tall masts already.
"Brainy!" I heard Chibong yell.
"What do you want, you’re not fussing over that boat again are you?"
"Yes" said Chibong.
"What do you want?"
"Go over to the back of the ship and take a look," said Chibong. Brainy walked over and put his hand over above his eyes so he could block the sun.
"Pass me the telescope Chibong!" he yelled as Chibong threw the telescope down to Brainy. As Brainy lifted the scope to his eye we all heard the sound of a cannon.
"What on earth was that?" I said shaking.
"I don’t know but we’re gong to find out," brainy said as he looked through the telescope.
"Holy Cow! That ships gigantic! Let’s see here, there’s some kind of picture on the sail. Let me get focused, it’s a…skull and crossbones."
"I knew it! Turn this ship around! Wait a minute that’s what we want to avoid. Okay well, Quickly! We have to change course and raise more sails. Get to work, I’ll keep an eye on that Pirate ship" we changed course going a little to the east toward rocky point and started moving 90 knots our maximum speed.
"Alert Brainy!" called Chibong to me.
"Why, is there a leak?"
"No, it’s worse. That ship has spotted us and has changed its course too. If this keeps up we’ll be stuck between rocky point and the ship. It will be able to close in and we will be pushed against rocky point!"
"Okay, I’ll go tell Brainy," I said as I rushed down to the storage area where Brainy was. This was Bad, A pirate gang, Probably Josh’s, is hunting us down. Trust me, when A Pirate ship is after you, you have to be pretty lucky to escape unharmed.
"Brainy! You must---"
"Oh, hello Jodie. I was just inspecting the supplies. Look here. This barrel is supposed to be full of Blue gum for bait to catch Bluey Chewy. Look, The cap is busted open and more than half of the gun is gone. Also, You see the engine over here," Brainy opened a little floorboard and Showed me the little motor underneath. It was covered in sticky chewed Blue gum.
"Don’t look at me," I said as brainy gave me that look that your parents give you when you did something you shouldn’t have and knew that you shouldn’t have done it.
"Anyway, Brainy. We have to get the course changed now! The Pirate Ship has changed its course too and is still coming closer. It must be going 100 knots for good sake. We have to clear away form rocky point or we’ll be pushed up against it and will be thrown up onto the rocks."
"Well that’s still miles away Jodie," Said Brainy calmly.
"So? The ship is gaining on us and it doesn’t look like it’s going to slow down anytime so-----". I stared out the window. I could see a huge white sail. Josh, I thought. Josh has caught up to us a now there is no escape!
"Jod---" brainy stopped and stared out the window. We both ran up stairs as fast as we could. I’ve never been so scared in my life. As we got up deck I saw the ship clearly. It was easily 20 times larger than our ship, not to mention its height. IT had tall masts and huge white sails. The length was unimaginable. The Crows nest was so high there must have been an elevator going up there because it would take so long to climb. It had 38 sets of cannons and you could see the dungeon bars.
" Welcome Jodie! We meet at last, Now I understand you have finally found Bluey Chewy. Would you kindly tell him to come out so I can kidnap him?"
"I do not know where Bluey Chewy is, Josh"
"Ah, I see what you’re at. You want a reward, huh? Well OK, How bout in trade of Bluey Chewy I release Him," Josh snapped his fingers and a guard came and dragged a man out onto the deck. Josh grabbed him and showed his to me. I got a closer look and saw that the man’s nome tag said…Cody Walsh.
"Let go of him and let him free!" I yelled enthusiastically. I couldn’t believe my eyes. Cody was a police, and josh still captured him.
"I will, only with a little prize of course, Bluey Chewy." HE smiled showing all his teeth. He had a gold one that shimmered as he smiled.
"I told you already, I don’t have him," I yelled impatiently.
"I see you’re not cooperating with me. Well then you’ll have to face the consequences." Smiled again, but this time he laughed.
"MUA HA HA HA HA Ho hi hum…coghf couph cough. Oh, I really have to work on that laugh. I’m going in to get a cough drop, Sink them," He said as he walked threw a door and down some stairs. Eh came back sucking on a cough drop and sat down on a chair.
"Ready, set, Fire!" I watched as at least a hundred gunmen lined up on the deck of Joshes ship. They raised their guns and…Fired!
"Quickly, Get below deck down in the storage area" Said Chibong as he herded me down the stairs. Brainy was already there.
"Thank goodness you’re not shot. I’ve just finished cleaning the engine here and I decided that I’m going to drive us out of here." Brainy went and started the engine while I sat sown and watched the gunmen form the window.
"We’re moving!" I heard Brainy said. I went back to watching. The gunmen didn’t seem to realize we were moving out of range, but I could see that Josh did.
"Get the cannons out! They’re moving out of range! Move!" He yelled as he sprang out of his seat. I watched as the cannons started moving out. Suddenly the air was filled with not only the sound of guns but also the sound of firing cannons.
"Head for Cover!" shouted Chibong.
"No! I have to steer, we’re almost out of range!"
"Forget about it, we’re out numbered"
"No, I------" Brainy was cut off because right then a large cannonball hit the engine and Brainy got thrown aside.
"Nobody escapes the Josh Paku! I heard Josh yell. I watched was he raised a torch and threw it onto the Flying Shadow. The ship burst into flames. They creeped down the stairs slowly.
"Get back, We have till the flames reach the gunpowder barrels. Then, we’re toast." We huddled against the back of the bot and waited. Suddenly there was a burst of light, and I knew why…The fire had reached the gunpowder.
"Come on," said Brainy, "There's a loose ceiling board here. IT leads to the dining room. It’s still safe there…still. We all climbed through the opening. The wood was wet and covered in moss. It was gross. As we got through, Brainy shut the floorboard.
"We should be able to stay here for a while. I looked through the glass window on the door. The whole front deck was covered in flames. Suddenly we were all jerked and shook as the ships deck grew steeper and steeper.
"We’re sinking, we must have been hit by a cannon." Suddenly we were all grabbed, tied, and thrown into a small lifeboat. The next part goes kind of like this:
Me: Hey ouch, let go!
Brainy: What’s going on, you’re squeezing my glass skull
Chibong: Let go of me you lousy Pirates! (Flinging his arms around)
Pirates: Ah! Ouch! Hey!"
Chibong stood up and threw some Pirates off the boat. Chibong raged on and on until he turned red. He rose his fists and aimed at the last two rowing Pirates.
"Long lived the Pirate!" He screamed. I looked out at the Josh’s ship. Josh stood on the balcony. He was holding a gun. Just as Chibong started to strike the two pirates josh fired the gun.
" Not so fast Chibong," Josh stepped out and rested his arms on the banister of the Balcony. He smiled. His gold tooth sparkled in the sun.
"Guards! Take them away and get that cargo that’s floating around too. We were all grabbed, retied, and put in front of Josh the magnificent.
"My friends, you’ve come aboard my ship at last. Keep your shirt on Chibong. I have whom to thank for finding Bluey Chewy for me? Ah Jodie, How much is the Queen rewarding?" Josh smiled.
"Here let me show you your death place. This will be the last thing you’ll see before you die." He took us down to the cannon room and brought us across the dining room till we got to a very thick door, with a caged window on it.
"Behold, the Prison." I shivered as he opened the door. It was a dim room with skeletons lying on the floor. There were a couple benches and all kinds of ugly looking things. I was terrified.
"Let me show you around, hmm? Out this passageway is the balcony. I believe in giving my Prisoners a little luxury."
"You’re not going to murder us are you?" I asked in a small voice. I know I should have said that but I really wanted to know my fate. Josh smiled at me. I stepped back.
" Ha ha ha, No I’d never waist precious bait. I’ll leave you here as Prisoners until somebody offers a good price. —Rrrrrring Rrrrring! --- Just a sec" Josh put his hand into his pocket and took out a cellular phone.
Josh: Uh, hello?
Silence
Josh: OK, good
Silence
Josh: I’ll be right over
Silence
Josh: Oh you do. Okay, you can just fax it to me
Silence
Josh: Great.
"Sorry about that Emergency call. Shall we get back to the seen?
"Of course" Jodie said.
"Where was I?"
"You were telling me you were going to use me as bait or wait for someone to offer a good Price,"
"Thanks," said Josh as he put his cell phone away, "OK, As I was saying, I have a hunch that if I keep you long enough, I have a feeling Queeny is going to make a little appearance." he Used the Nickname "Queeny" And thought it was pretty funny. I didn't. I thought it was rude and disgusting, but I didn't say so. Good Bye!" Josh left the room and shut the huge door behind him.
"Now what?" I asked Brainy.
"Don’t worry Jodie, the Queen will rescue you before you die. I’m positive. Boy, I’m going to get that Josh Paku. He is going to regret putting us in this ugly worthless prison of his!"
" Worthless? Hardly!" Chibong said. What was he talking about?! Did Josh d something to his Brain. How would he be on Josh’s side?
"This is expensive marble here. Look over here too, see these chains? This is real silver. This guy is rich. Also the View and hand rails. This is art I tell ya, art!"
"Art?" I said. I couldn’t believe he though Josh’s Prison was art. He was so weird.
"This is not art Chibong," brainy said Giving Chibong a hard look.
"Yes it is! See these bars here? They’re made out of pure corundum. That’s the second hardest mineral in the world! You couldn’t break these is your life depended on it. I imagine they were so shiny you could see your own face in it!" Chibong reached out and took a little tug on one of the bars. "They used to be unbreakable." Chibong broke a couple more until there was a space big enough for every single one of the prisoners to escape. Chibong stuck his leg through the opening.
"BEEEEEEEEEEEP, BEEEEEEEEEEEP BEEEEEEEEEEP BEEEEEEEEEP…ex. Suddenly, Josh swung the door open letting the skull on the door raddle up and down.
"Stop where you are Chibong!’ Said Josh pointing a machine gun.
"Slowly back a way form the window and sit down over there." Josh stuck his hand in his pocket and took out his cellular phone. He dialed numbers with one hand. I wondered how he could do that? It must be hard to hold the phone with one hand and use the same hand to dial. I had seen many people do it at home but I could never get the hand of doing it.
"Hello, Hi, I need you to install some new iron bars for my Prison. This is Josh the magnificent. I am offering 500 dollars in gold for the job done. I will meet you at square bay, north east of Albuquerque at 7:00 sharp not a minute late and not a minute early. I’m warning you, no funny business or off with your head. Got that?
Silence
"Good, you should bring all of the supplies you need because I’m not sharing mine."
Silence
Josh grunted as he put the phone away.
"There’s been a slight change in our schedule. We’re turning around towards square bay. As for you, Chibong… ho ho, you, are going to regret what you just did. Take him to the torture room! You guys? Well, let’s just say, we’ll board up that window till it gets fixed. Eh?" With that Josh walked way and shut the door behind him.
"Now what?" I asked Brainy.
"I don’t know Jodie, I just don’t know. I guess we can just go to sleep and wait till we get to square bay."
"Ya, maybe you’re right. Good night Brainy, I’ll see you when we get to square bay.
